design

I wanted to create a coat that would fit the worldview of the movie The Matrix, so I made it. It is asymmetrical, and by opening the zipper halfway, the collar can be opened as shown in the photo. The side pockets have a single welt. The sides are curved to create a slightly tapered waist. There is a belt at the back, so you can tighten the waist by 5-8cm. By opening the bottom of the zipper a little, you can adjust the slit length to suit your individual height.

material

material	This denim is made from 100% cotton, approximately 12.5 oz. left-hand twill denim woven in Ibara City, Okayama Prefecture. It's thick and sturdy. It's unwashed and has no colorfastness treatment, so it's a bit stiff, but with washing and wearing, the starch will wear off and it will become softer.

*Because this is unwashed denim, shrinkage will occur when washed. The width of the garment will not shrink significantly (as the horizontal grain of the fabric is used, which shrinks less), but the length and sleeve length will shrink significantly (as the vertical grain of the fabric is used). The length will shrink by about 6% and the sleeve length by about 4%. Specifically, for a size M, the length will shrink by about 7cm and the sleeve length by 2-3cm.

Other points to note

- Unwashed denim will shrink after washing.
- Indigo dyeing is characterized by the fact that the color fades when washed, revealing natural shades of color.
- If washed with other laundry or stacked while wet, color transfer may occur.
