Washing and Care

Before cleaning, please check the product's care label. The best washing method varies depending on the material and specifications.

Denim is clothing you can enjoy without overthinking it

Personally, I think part of the appeal of denim is that you don't have to overthink it and can treat it a bit more casually.

I usually just toss mine in the washing machine and wash it with a neutral detergent. However, I do worry about buttons and other metal hardware hitting the washing machine, so I sometimes turn it inside out and put it in a laundry net. I also make sure not to wash it with white T-shirts.

Even without any special washing routine, your denim will develop its own unique fading as you wear and wash it over time. In this video, I'll show you how my denim has faded after washing it the usual way without worrying too much.

If you're concerned about fading or shrinkage

To reduce fading and color transfer, wash it separately from other clothes, turn it inside out, and put it in a laundry net. After washing, avoid using a dryer and hang it to dry in the shade to help prevent shrinkage.

If you want to minimize fading as much as possible, a neutral detergent is recommended. Weakly alkaline detergents can also be used, but they may cause more fading than neutral detergents.

Bleach and color transfer

Chlorine bleach can cause significant fading, so do not use it on colored denim. Even when using bleach, check the product's care label and choose a type that is safe to use.

New or dark-colored denim may transfer color while you wear it or wash it. Be careful when it comes into contact with white or light-colored clothing, bags, furniture, and other items.
