Appearing on NHK BS broadcast "Good Morning!!" (April 19, 2024)

I will be appearing on NHK BS's "Iii Jyu!!" from 12 noon on April 19, 2024.

My story of moving from Ibaraki Prefecture to Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture will be featured in a documentary program about migration.

The filming began with a Zoom meeting, followed by a week of location scouting by the director from the Kanto region, a cameraman joining us for another week, and two additional days because the new denim jacket wasn't completed in time. In the end, it took more than two weeks in total just to create the footage for the 30-minute program. It was a mini version of Jonetsu Tairiku.

I think NHK is amazing, putting so much effort and time into a 30-minute BS program.

Not only myself, but also the incubation team (including residents) of the Kojima Industrial Promotion Center , which has been helping us since the company's founding, a social gathering for senior immigrants at Shimotsui Trial Housing, and members of the YouTube channel " Sewing Baa " are scheduled to appear.

When I think about how this story would never have happened if I hadn't come to Kojima or Shimotsui, it feels like a strange coincidence.

It's not easy to turn your passion into a job, but I think moving to a new location can bring you closer to that opportunity.

After the broadcast, it will also be available to watch on NHK On Demand .

Please be sure to check it out.
