[Notice] We are moving our office and updating our products

Now that April is here, spring is finally here.

Since its founding in 2017, Danjo Denim has been operating out of the incubation facility at the Kojima Industrial Promotion Center, but it will soon be graduating from the incubation facility. As such, it will be moving to a new property.

I will be in incubation until May 2021, but from June onwards I will be moving to Shimotsui, Kurashiki City, Okayama Prefecture. It is a seaside town with many restaurants and cafes nearby, and I think it is also a hidden gem for tourists. The place I am moving to is a renovated old house, and interior construction is currently underway.

After the move, the store will become a "store and workshop." Customers can try on pre-washed items, and if they purchase, they can adjust the sleeve length etc. at a later date and have the item delivered by mail, which is a semi-custom order system. Size is important when it comes to clothing, and unwashed denim shrinks when washed. We believe that customers will be more satisfied if they try on the washed items before purchasing.

The official opening will probably be around September. If you are in Shimotsui, please come and visit us.

Additionally, we will be updating each product when we move. While sewing the products, we have noticed things like "maybe it would be easier to sew if this dimension of the pattern was a little smaller," and we will reflect any concerns we have about the size or texture of the fabric after actually wearing the denim jackets for a year and a half in the patterns. We plan to revise the patterns for all products by the time of our official opening.

There is a lot to prepare for the move, but it feels like a life-changing event and I am excited. I want to make the store an exciting place for our customers, so please look forward to it.
